My first high end perfume, was not actually a perfume per se; I got the deodrant version of a certain Burberry fragrance for my birthday when I was 14. God! That was so long ago!! I remember being in awe because it was expensive, and more importantly it made me feel so good.
I kept that scent in mind all these years but the only thing about that bottle I remembered was the “WEEKEND” typed on it. And upon googling, I found that yes, the scent exists in a parfum form and the rest was history. I am on my third bottle now, and have not looked back..other than Chanel No5, that is.
Fragrantica describes the notes as:
Top notes include sweet and zesty mandarine and aromatic grassy notes. Heart notes contain blue hyacinth, iris, nectarine, peach flower, red cyclamen and wild rose. The drydown is a perfect blend of sandalwood, cedar and musk.
For me this fragrance is a mixture of nostalgia, my grandmothers home where I used to live when I was a kid, a younger and more carefree me, memories of school, exams, springs and summers, being with friends and so much more and I absolutely adore it. It is my Signature Scent. Even Le Beaux recognizes it as “Me”.
If you love scents like Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline, or CK Euphoria (original) or Lancome Poeme, you will definitely love this. It is light and beautiful and relaxed, just like a weekend and stays on for a long time.
Do give it a whiff next time you are in the market for a good perfume.
