Chrissy x Becca – the OG Collab

Becca is one of my favourite brands by far. Last year they did a palette collaboration with Chrissy Teigen (John Legend’s better half) which they have expanded into a sequel and a whole collection this year. I was not interested in the components of 2018’s launch; the palette from last year, however, was on my radar. Before it went out of stock, I decided to splurge on it!

The packaging is beautiful- its a rubberised shell marble with a rose gold metal detailing and text. The palette comes with a big mirror and 2 large highlighter pans and a blush and a bronzer pan each. An ideal face palette considering the products can be used as eyeshadows! The Beach Nectar and Malibu bronzer are exclusive to this palette. Beach Nectar was re-released in the 2018 collection, though as a part of a single pan trio!

The palette is beautiful and even though some may complain that the bronzer and blush are too small, I find I am comfortable with it because I use normal brushes and not those poof-y extra large ones. Something like the Wayne Goss 02 would be perfect and fits well and blends this beautifully into my skin. The quality is impeccable and this is also very similar to the Jaclyn Hill palette, although they are different shades. So I feel like this is a backup of that and vice versa.

The palette is rich and pigmented and a dream to travel with. I am so happy with this purchase that I am not sure why I did not pick this up when it was released initially. The bronzer is not orange, the Beach Nectar highlighter is stunning as is Rose Gold on the eyes and cheeks! Hibiscus bloom, though pigmented, works amazing when used with the highlighters and mixed in or even used alone. This palette, I cannot stress enough, is so versatile with options and will suit so many skin tones.

Beautiful palette. If you want to try Becca face powders, need a backup of this or the Jacklyn palette or just were looking for an opinion- get it. It is worth it.
